Site

Much of Jill Randall’s work is ‘site-specific’, made for a particular site and place, and taking its ideas and inspiration from an aspect of it which engages her creatively and conceptually. This involves a sensitivity and responsiveness to place, not only the geographical and physical site, but its history, ecology, social history, past use, mythology and stories.Work evolves from personal research , often involving Residencies, and often by the interaction and collusion of individuals associated with the site, with whom Randall likes to develop working relationships.
