Jill has recently presented proposals for the introduction of Public Art in Amlwch, following her Artist-In-Residence placement there in 2007/8. These have been developed from the “Amlwch Icons”, a series of iconsĀ  invented by Jill along with Artist Alan Birch, relating to the town’s copper-mining and ship-building heritage. Jill has developed ideas for a series of small interventions around Amlwch, such as signage and plaques for local shops, decorative fencing panels and relief sculptures for gable ends.

Ambitious future plans include “The Copper Road” sculpture trail, re-linking Amlwch Port with Parys Mountain, and input into the redesign of the large public space at Amlwch Port.
